In this digital era, paper
usage and demand remains a problem which
lead to a series of environmental issues
like deforesting and changing of landscaping.
To help reduce paper consumption, our team
has developed a prototype to sort out paper
that are still reusable from printer and
photocopy machine. We hope this effort
will encourage the development of more
environmental friendly gadget and promote
public awareness in saving the earth's
natural resources.

We are designing a device
to recover some energy from an aquarium
tank. This device consists of a small turbine
which is connected to a generator. Pumped
water from the filter will drive the turbine.
The generated energy will then power some
bright LED which will provide some light
to the aquarium tank. This is a clean air
system and will not cause pollution.

Based on the present situation
in our college, we have drawn up a more sustainable
waste management system. We decided that
the best way for any 'waste management' programme
to be successful is through active participation.
We tested out in our college by organizing
an 'Earth Week' which was filled with many
activities. From the results, we concluded
that through awareness, waste management
programme is more sustainable.
