More than 100 machines including 2.4 m diameter swing x 9 m long and 1.8 m diameter swing x 30 m long lathes, boring machine with 2.4 m high platform, shaping, planning, milling, slotting, grinding and honing facilities. Gear cutting, super finishing, dynamic balancing machines upto 18 tons and fly ash blasting facilities. Chemical cleaning tanks up to 4.8 m long. Testing of safety valves, pumps, overhead cranes upto 60 tons lifting capacity and bearing re-metalling facilities are also available.
We have also set up a dedicated bay in the machine shop to provide a clean environment for the servicing of cryogenic cargo handling equipment.
Two fully air-conditioned mechanical cryogenic workshops were set up to meet with the increasing demand for specialized cryogenic works to be carried out on LNG carriers. The workshops provide dust-controlled environment for the repairs of cryogenic machinery such as valves and pumps at an ambient temperature of 22ºC.
Each workshop is served by a 5 tons capacity motorised plain electric hoist with 8 m headroom at a total running length of 20 m and two 2 tons capacity motorised wall jib cranes with 4 m headroom are installed in the workshops to aid in manoeuvering the heavy equipment. The workshops are also equipped with dedicated tools used only for cryogenic repair work.

Capabilities to complete complex overhauling and rewinding of motors and generators of all sizes. We are fully equipped to revitalise the motors / generators insulation through Ayrodev dipping and baking plants. For newly rewound motors / generators, our electrical workshop is licensed to carry out the Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) process. Additionally, we are equipped with belt-drive balancing machinery for rotor, impeller balancing and the testing of motors / generators. Facilities for fabrication of switchboards / distribution panels and testing of electrical breakers are also available.
Our comprehensive instrumentation laboratary capabilities include:-
- Pressure gauge calibration
- Temperature gauge calibration
- Ammeter, Voltmeter, Frequency Meter calibration
- Third party electrical survey
- Thermography inspection
- Troubleshooting of electrical controls
Our 8,000 m2 pipe fabrication workshop has a fabrication rate of upto 3,500 dia-inch per day for the fabrication of copper, super duplex, titanium and steel piping. Our machines are capable of cold bending and semi-automatic welding of pipes upto 250 mm NB, 3D NC pipe bending and automatic bevelling. We also utilise advanced welding technology including Surface Tension Transfer (STT).
We have comprehensive facilities and trained workers for open, enclosed and vacuum blasting, airless high-pressure spray painting, hydro-jetting upto 30,000 psi and internal tank blasting.
We carry out an average of 600,000 m2 of internal tank coating work annually. The combined strength and capabilities of our two resident tank coating specialists, Haraco Services and Steel Surface Protection Engineering include 24 dehumidifiers of 300 m3 / min, 250 m3 / min, 30 vacuum machines and an average of 80 blasters; complemented by 240 experienced blasters, sprayers, cleaners and strip coat workers and 20 supervisors and quality control inspectors, average daily output of 2,000 m2 per day.
Our six enclosed blasting and painting facilities of 6,500 m2 enable blasting and painting processes to be carried out simultaneously without being affected by weather conditions.
Covered fabrication area of more than 40,000 m2 equipped with CNC plasma cutting system for plate thickness upto 150 mm and overhead cranes with a combined lifting capacity of 60 tons, served by a fleet of trailers ranging from 30 tons - 100 tons and a 150 tons self-elevating multi-wheeler transporter. Our quayside block erection area of more than 80,000 m2 is accessible by floating cranes and loadout skidding barge for assembled structure of upto 4,000 tons. Steel production capacity is in excess of 3,000 tons per month.
Workshop services include furniture repair and carpet laying, general textile and fabric upholstery works. We have also developed strong partnership with key interior and joinery contractors to provide turnkey design and interior refurbishment work for passenger ships upgrading, newbuilt offshore vessels and rigs.
Ample sheltered stores and open ground storage area are available for owners’ spares and project equipment. Air-conditioned storage space are also available on request. Inward shipment and outward shipment despatch services are also available on request.
