SchoolBAG




The School Books Assistance Grant (SchoolBAG) is part of Sembcorp Marine Group’s Community Responsibility and Care Program. As part of the Sembcorp Marine family, Sembawang Shipyard fully supports the SchoolBAG programme which seeks to assist needy families with schooling children to purchase school text-books, uniforms, stationery and other miscellaneous items, thus lightening their financial burden. A total lump sum of $250,000 was set aside yearly by the Group for this purpose. The Grant ranging from $150 to $400 each was extended to families residing in constituencies close to our shipyard and Jurong Shipyard i.e. Jurong, West Coast, Sembawang, Nee Soon East and Nee Soon Central Constituencies.
